Goswamiji is known for his big knowledge of ragas anad talas, allowing him to go deep into both commonly performed ragas, as well as the very rare ones. He has learnt instrumental and vocal music from different gharanas and styles, and performs in sitar as well as in surbahar. Pt. Rabindra Goswami is a professional musician for over 50 years and is recognized as a senior artist in the music city of Banaras (Varanasi), India. He has won a number of national awards in India, including first position in the prayag sangeet samiti All-India Competition!
And Mahadev Cometo learnt all about Indian music and sitar from his gurru, Goswamiji, starting in 2011 in Varanasi.
K.G. Westman is one of Europe´s foremost sitar players in the field of North Indian classical and semi classical music. As a senior disciple of Pandit Rabindra Narayan Goswami he has performed in India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Egypt, Europe, USA and Russia as well as for radio and T.V. Due to training in both Indian and Western Music, he also makes an excellent teacher and conductor of workshops regardless of the background of the participants.
